The ghost and the skeleton sat,
At the edge where the land meets the sea
The skeleton said “The sea’s where it’s at”
And the ghost said “No way, not for me”
The sea is so vast, and teeming with life
You can dive in and out all day long
The land is so stiff, with hard surfaces rife
My bones rattle, and arrange themselves wrong
Then the ghost cried, “But the land is such fun!”
In the sea, my sheet’s soggy and clumpy
On land I can billow, and watch people run
And make all the caretakers grumpy
So, the ghost and the skeleton sat,
At the edge where the sea meets the land
And forgot all about their small spat
As they lounged on the pier, sheet in hand
